Emergency services were called out, after a house caught fire in Maitland this morning.
The fire was reported shortly before 8am, with Fire and Rescue units Maitland and East Maitland responding.
They arrived to find the home well alight and got to work extinguishing the blaze, limiting its spread.
The home was badly damaged, with firefighters suspecting the cause to be a faulty toaster left unattended.
