Forensic police are on the scene today, after a man was assaulted at Warners Bay’s Feighton Oval yesterday morning.
The 52-year-old was walking home when he was allegedly targeted by six men.
They’re accused of pushing him to the ground and assaulting him.
The men are described as being of Caucasian appearance and aged in their late teens.
After the attack, the group fled down John Street, Warners Bay.
Reports from police suggest an unknown woman walking her dog assisted the man before his friend arrived.
Police are now appealing for assistance from the public to help find the culprits.
