FIRE DESTROYS HOUSE AT SOUTH GRAFTON

It’s been a rough start to the New Year for two people in South Grafton, with their home and belongings destroyed by fire.

Just before 4am, firefighters arrived at the house to find it fully engulfed in flames.

Despite crews best efforts, they were unable to save the house although they were able to protect neighbouring properties.

Two people inside the house were treated for minor smoke inhalation.

Investigations into the cause of the blaze are continuing.
