31 YEARS ON FROM NEWCASTLE EARTHQUAKE

And today marks 31 years since the Newcastle Earthquake, which claimed 13 lives in 1989.

The mid-morning tremor destroyed a number of buildings across the city, including the Newcastle Workers Club.

Today, members of the community remembered the devastating day – and its victims – with posts and photos on social media.
