NBN News can reveal newly-appointed Central Newcastle coach Craig Miller is attempting to lure Lakes halfback Brad Murray to the club.
Wests prop Jake Finn, winger Mitch Williams and former Knights and Titans hooker Chad Redman, have also been sounded out to join the Butcher Boys.
Miller won three consecutive premierships with Wests from 2012, before a season with Cessnock.
He returns to coaching after a year off due to work commitments.
