There are calls for the Central Coast’s 13 suspended councillors to be sacked, before September’s election.
The Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has written to the Local Government Minister also requesting an inquiry into how the council wracked up half a billion dollars’ debt.
Councillors did not pick up on the unlawful use of restricted funds, though an interim report into the crisis found they could not be expected to.
Minister Shelley Hancock will decide the council’s fate following a final report from administrator Dick Persson in January.
