A dead whale washed up on Forster’s Main Beach at about midday today.
National Parks and Wildlife beleive it’s a juvenile sperm whale.
It is thought to have been a stillborn or to have had some problems at birth as it is rare for a sperm whale to separate from its pod.
The whale has been taken back to National Parks and Wildlife centre in Great Lakes to be examined.
