The first of two ‘parklets’ have been installed in Lismore’s CBD as part of a trial to help bring back life to the city centre.
Each one includes seating, vegetation and a dog drinking station.
“I’m a big advocate for place making in the Northern Rivers and I think there’s a lot of under-utilised spaces in our town centres. Our town centres need a burst of character and parklets can enable that,” Business NSW Regional Manager, Jane Laverty, said.
The first is situated on Keen Street, with the other to be installed on Molesworth Street next week.
