DRUNK DRIVER CAUSES CHAOS IN PORT STEPHENS

A drunk driver will face court next month after he lost control and crashed into a parked car this morning.

The 35-year-old was driving a Mazda 6 west along Sandy Point Road at Corlette, just before 5am, when he rolled the vehicle, which landed on its roof near Foreshore Drive.

The man wasn’t injured but returned a positive breath test.

He was taken to Nelson Bay Police Station and returned a high-range breath analysis reading of 0.176.

He was charged, and his licence was suspended.

He’ll appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday, January 25.
