Despite fellow Group 19 clubs blocking the move, the Narwan Eels are still confident of returning to the rugby league field this year.
Country Rugby League has informed Narwan officials they have grounds for an appeal after the club alleged competition organisers didn’t thoroughly consider their application two weeks ago.
The Eels haven’t played in Group 19 since 2006, when they were deregistered over unpaid fines and crowd violence.
