The Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast has defended a grant to upgrade a Tumbi Umbi athletics track, after an inquiry heard the Mingara Recreation Club donated to the Liberal Party.
A state inquiry is investigating allegations of pork barrelling through the Stronger Communities fund.
Adam Crouch says the project was long overdue, and the state government was proud to provide $425,000 towards the upgrade.
Both parties supported a track rebuild, but the opposition says just 10 per cent of the local Stronger Communities fund allocation went to Labor seats.
