An 18-year-old man has died following a crash in Lake Macquarie yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Caves Beach Road, Caves Beach, just after 2:30pm after a motorcycle left the road and hit a fence.
Police believe the bike collided with a turning vehicle.
Paramedics performed CPR on the rider for more than half an hour, but sadly he died at the scene.
The female driver of a Ford Territory wagon involved in the crash was taken to Belmont Hospital for mandatory testing.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
