PRIMARY SCHOOL FRIENDS REUNITE AFTER 64 YEARS FOR ART EXHIBITION

A pair of old Victorian primary school friends have reunited in the Hunter after more than 60 years, to collaborate on a special art exhibition… with a name reflecting the decades that have passed.

“The old farts exhibition suited us because we are old farts, I mean we’re 74 for heavens sake.”

“I just wanted people to see what you can do when you’re in isolation.”

Cecily Waters’ and John Fryer’s paintings will be on display at Elermore Vale Shopping Centre until Saturday.
