LEVEL TWO WATER RESTRICTIONS COMING TO THE TWEED SHIRE
Level two water restrictions will be introduced in the Tweed Shire from midnight on Sunday for those connected to the Tyalgum water supply area.
Council says restrictions will likely apply to the rest of the Shire early in the new year.
“If we get no rain at all or useful rain the catchment over the next eight weeks we would probably have to go to level one restrictions at the end of January,” Tweed Shire Council Manager Water and Wastewater, Anthony Burnham, said.
The Clarrie Hall Dam is sitting at 95 per cent and falling on average one per cent a week.
