FAREWELL TO NEW ITALY’S PACIFIC HIGHWAY DRIVER REVIVER

After 25 years providing free refreshments and a chat to weary drivers on the Pacific Highway, the 80 volunteers who ran the Driver Reviver at New Italy have made the difficult decision to call it a day.

At its peak, the team handed out supplies to more than 8,000 travellers annually.

The announcement comes less than a month before the completion of the Woolgoolga to Ballina dual carriageway upgrade.
