VOLUNTEERS WRAP GIFTS FOR VARIETY XMAS PARTY

It’s a much-loved festive tradition, but this year’s Variety Kids Christmas Party will look very different, as a drive-through event.

Today, students from Newcastle Senior School, which caters for children with significant disabilities, joined other volunteers in wrapping presents.

Each of the 2,000 party guests will receive a gift, delivered to their car window.

Wednesday’s carpark event at McDonald Jones Stadium will also feature entertainment, including of course, a visit from Santa.
