OP-SHOP OVERLOAD: VOLUNTEERS TEMPORARILY CLOSE DONATION BINS

Op-shops around Tamworth have padlocked their donation bins, after receiving an influx of tossed goods.
It’s the busiest some stores have been in more than 15 years, with volunteers believing ‘covid clean-out’ could be the reason behind the spike.
Volunteers say the bins will only be closed temporarily, while they play ‘catch up’ with supply.
Donations can still be made in-store during opening hours.
Residents are reminded to not leave any donation bags by the bins.
