MANNING GALLERY USES NATURAL FIBRES TO TEACH WEAVING PROCESS

The Manning Regional Art Gallery hopes its NAIDOC weaving program will provide a healing opportunity for residents as they learn the process of the coil basket technique.
The group is using natural fibres found around the facility as well as hand-dyed materials.
The gallery has held cultural workshops for many years, with the current series supported by the Purfleet Taree Local Aboriginal Land Council.
