Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a couple they’d like to speak with over an aggravated robbery at Gateshead in July.
A 61-year-old woman was returning to her Plane Street home in the early hours of the morning on Thursday 9th, when she was approached by a man who demanded her handbag.
The thief pushed her to the ground and grabbed her bag before running away.
The woman suffered a minor injury, but didn’t require medical help.
Detectives today released CCTV vision of a couple they believe would be able to help with their investigation.
In the footage the couple are seen leaving a pub, before getting into a silver Nissan Navara ute with red P-plates.
Both are of Caucasian appearance.
