BYRON BAY RESIDENT IN HOTEL QUARANTINE TESTS POSITIVE TO COVID-19

A Byron Bay resident has tested positive to coronavirus in Sydney’s hotel quarantine.
While this isn’t a threat to the region, the local health boss is urging people to stay alert.
“The clear message here is, don’t be complacent. Any symptoms at all, please get tested on the day you get symptoms because COVID is real, it still exists – please don’t be complacent,” Northern NSW Local Health District Chief Executive, Wayne Jones, said.
Today marks 108 days since the last locally acquired COVID-19 case in the Northern New South Wales local health district.
