The Oxley Police District will welcome a four-legged comrade on Monday.
The district’s specialist dog unit was vacated in 2018, with the New South Wales Government finally recruiting a new team.
The chosen candidate, sniffer dog ‘Alpha’, and his handler, will assist officers in fighting crime across the Tamworth region.
