MORE ARTISTS DISPLAYING WORKS AT LAKE MACQUARIE
Dozens of Lake Macquarie artists threw open their doors and put their best works on show today, for the city’s ‘Open Studios’ program.
Mayor Kay Fraser says the area has seen an art boom in the last few months.
“Rather than just see artwork on the wall or on the floor, we can actually see how they actually do it. So the expertise and experience is amazing.” – Cr. Kay Fraser, Lake Macquarie Mayor.
The program is being held across 29 different locations around the lake this weekend.
“Everyone has really put their best foot forward, if you look in the gallery there, we must have 200 paintings.” – Kate Belton, Tinkat Alley Art Studio.
