MAN AIRLIFTED TO HOSPITAL AFTER FAR NORTH COAST SURFING ACCIDENT

A man is being treated in Gold Coast University Hospital after a surfing accident on the Far North Coast this morning.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter airlifted the 50-year-old from Byron Bay Hospital shortly after midday.
He remains in a serious but stable condition, suffering from internal bleeding.
