A parked car at Warabrook in Newcastle is now a write-off after a driver backed out of a nearby drive-way and smashed into it’s rear, narrowly missing children playing.
The driver then fled the scene.
The incident occurred shortly before 3:30pm on Sunday.
Police and fire-fighters responded a short time later.
No one was injured and police are now investigating.
