RECORD NUMBER ENJOY ‘EAT THE STREET’

A record number of people sunk their teeth into Lismore’s ‘Eat the Street’ food festival over the weekend.

Mayor Jenny Dowell says around 15,000 diners packed Magellan street for the event, a 50 per cent increase on last year.

Vendors were mostly able to satisfy the appetites of the larger crowd – with only 2 running out of food.

The success has already guaranteed the event’s return next year.
