A paraglider is lucky to be alive following a serious crash on Mount Borah yesterday.
The Westpac Helicopter was called to the popular take-off and landing site just before 5pm, where a 43-year-old man was found with suspected arm and pelvic injuries.
He was stabilised at the scene before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
