VINNIES SLEEPOUT GOES AHEAD ONLINE

This annual Vinnies Community Sleepout will go ahead online this year, with people signing up to support the homeless, including at Maitland where a number of locals will sleep in their cars or backyards for the event.

“The Vinnies sleepout is really good, because it’s not just about somebody signing a cheque or making a donation, it’s actually encouraging some engagement into a project that’s worthwhile.” – Dr. Gregory Smith, homelessness researcher.

The sleepout takes place next Friday – money raised helps with the cost of food, clothing and crisis accommodation.
