There’s a new colourful addition to the University of Newcastle’s Callagan campus.
A rainbow pederstrian crossing was today unveiled to staff and students, in support of Pride Week.
The university hopes to add similar crossings to other campuses.
“We’ve started with one, so who knows how far it could go. We think it’s really important to have some symbols to support and value our LGBTQIA community, and for them to feel valued and supported.” – Tina Crawford, University of Newcastle Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
