FEDERAL TREASURER VISITS CENTRAL COAST

Hard hats and hi-vis were on hand as the federal Treasurer hit the Central Coast today.
Inspecting the work of local tradies – who claim they’ve been able to put on an extra two apprentices following recent federal budget measures.
Josh Frydenberg was quizzed on assisting the region’s ageing workers on wage subsidies, but largely stuck to discussing the JobMaker Hiring Credit.
“We know that the youth unemployment rate today is double the rate across the rest of the economy,” Mr Frydenberg said.
Labor has previously raised concerns for older workers.
