Tamworth Regional Council has officially signed off on a multi-million dollar urban renewal project for the city’s west.
Earlier this month, Independent Member for New England Tony Windsor announced the $10.7-million venture.
Last night, councillors voted to accept the funding as part of the Building Better Regional Cities program.
The project aims to revitalise the Coledale area.
It will include the extension of Cole Road, as well as a Youth Hub with access to recreational activities and health services.
