ADRIAN CHAD AND NATHAN PRICE NAMED CRICKET PLAYERS OF THE YEAR

It’s grand final week in Newcastle Cricket, and this afternoon Wallsend skipper Nathan Price and Toronto all-rounder Adrian Chad were named joint Players of the Year.

“It’s a pretty big honour. There’s been quite a few notable player who have won it. To be on the same trophy, or in the same category as those guys, it’s really good.” Chad said.

While the rain is an obvious concern ahead of this weekend’s decider, officials are confident of seeing play – but the fixture may have to be finished on Good Friday.
