An elderly man has been taken to hospital after his car crashed into a bakery at Cessnock this morning.
Emergency crews were called to Darwin Street just before 10am, and removed the 91-year-old from the car, who was trapped.
He was taken to Maitland Hospital with minor facial injuries.
Firefighters are working with specialist engineers to secure the shop, which has structural damage.
People are urged to avoid the area while the operation continues.
