WINDY DAY FOR NEWCASTLE TO DUNGOG CHARITY CYCLE
It was an early wake up for those riding in this year’s Newcastle to Dungog Cycle for Charity event.
The group departed on the 90-kilometre ride shortly after 6:30 – bracing for less than ideal conditions.
“It’s a great community ride, nice and social, just not looking forward to the very windy weather today.”
“I think it’s going to be a disgusting headwind the whole way up, but should be able to hide in the group and get towed up there by some animals.”
Organised by the Rotary Club of Newcastle, the ride supports the Hunter Medical Research Institute and Rotary Club Charities.
