POLICE SEARCH FOR DRIVER WHO CRASHED INTO UNIT COMPLEX

Police are searching for a driver who crashed into a unit complex at Glendale last night.

Officers say they tried to stop a silver Ford Falcon at Edgeworth just before 11.30, but the vehicle sped off, then ploughed into a parked car AND the building on Lake Road.

Thankfully, no residents were injured, but some have to find alternative accommodation for the next few weeks.

“We just saw some guy pacing up and down in front of his car, which had just crashed into some other parked car just over there, and there was smoke coming out of it. I just came down to see what was going on and he started running up the street there.” – Gordon Kalie, Witness.

Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
