POLICE WARN OF LONG DELAYS AT QUEENSLAND BORDER NEXT WEEK

Motorists can expect long delays at the Queensland border next week, when the Sunshine State reopens to five New South Wales local government areas.
The new rules come into effect from 1am on Thursday.
It comes as the Queensland Government launches a new pass, to help people cross the border for medical treatment.
“Random inspections will still continue even if you turn up with a current and valid border pass being displayed,” Queensland Police Chief Superintendent Mark Wheeler said.
If you are planning a trip North, check the Queensland Government website before you go.
