The 34-kilometre upgrade of the Pacific Highway between Woodburn and Pimlico officially opens to motorists tonight.
Wardell, Broadwater and Woodburn will be bypassed, with tourism signs to be installed shortly.
The duplication of the highway between Hexham and the Queensland border is now more than 96 per cent complete.
