Ace Buchan secured his spot in the quarter finals, after posting a two wave total of 14.40.
However fellow coastie Wade Carmichael fell nearly three points short in the elimination round.
And North Shelly duo Macy Callaghan and Molly Picklum will both contest the women’s quarter finals, after posting some big scores.
