ONE OF TAMWORTH’S OLDEST OP-SHOPS TO CLOSE FOR GOOD

One of Tamworth’s oldest op shops will close its doors for good, at the end of the month.

The Uniting Church store on Darling Street has been in operation for more than 40 years.

Due to a loss of income in the pandemic, and elderly volunteers at risk of illness, management has decided its time to move on.

The store has been closed since March, but for the next two weeks, minimal staff will open the store on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to sell off remaining stock.

All items will be on sale for $1, with leftover goods to be donated to charity.
