Newcastle cycleways will be improved thanks to more than $600,000 from the state government.
The city council will match the funding, with work to take place around Queens Wharf and Hunter Street.
“The quickest completion will be the Queens Wharf cycleway, and that missing link where the pinch point is where the buildings finish at Queens Wharf just near the ferry terminal.” – Cr. Nuatali Nelmes, Newcastle Lord Mayor.
Meanwhile, the council continues to assess the Kings Street carpark, amid hopes of re-opening it to the public.
