NEW FILM PROGRAM COMES TO NORTHERN RIVERS HIGH SCHOOLS
Budding film makers are getting ready to learn the ropes of the industry, with a new film program being rolled out across the Northern Rivers.
Delivered by the Screenwave International Film Festival in collaboration with Southern Cross University, The Rivers Secondary College at Kadina will be one of the first to access the Film for Future program.
“About 30 schools in Northern New South Wales are getting free access to this program, which teaches everything, there’s 10 modules, 250 minutes of content, teaching beginner film making from beginning to end,” Founder of Screenwave Film Festival, Screenwave, said.
It’s hoped with their new skills, students will be able to create their own short films for the Nextwave film competition later in the year.
