COUNCIL’S INDEPENDENT AIRPORT AUDIT UNSEALED
A confidential audit of Central Coast Council’s decisions surrounding Warnervale Airport, has been revealed.
A redacted report by independent consultants, Morrison Low – analysed business papers and around 50 submissions regarding a regional airport at Kiar Ridge, an aviation hub, and other economic moves.
It found, council and its staff acted within their legal requirements.
However, there was not enough information for a robust review of why runway works in 2015 – which breached the Warnervale Airport Restrictions Act – were deemed “urgent”.
Council was approached for comment.
