NEW TELESTROKE SERVICE GIVING STROKE PATIENTS BETTER ACCESS TO CARE

Stroke patients in the Northern Rivers will now have better access to care, thanks to a new $21-million initiative.
The New South Wales Telestroke Service went live at Lismore Base Hospital today, linking stroke patients with specialist stroke clinicians.
The service will provide residents in regional and rural areas with life-saving diagnosis and time-critical treatment.
