RONALD McDONALD RIDE RAISES BIG MONEY DESPITE RESTRICTONS
It’s a bit different to usual, but the 2020 edition of the Ride for Sick Kids is underway, and just as important as ever.
20 riders set out this morning on a 100 kilometre journey from Hexham to Seaham and back, with day trips taking the place of the traditional Grafton-Newcastle ride.
“For people like me who live locally, it’ll give us a chance to get home. It’ll have a different feel, but at the end of the day we’ll still raise much needed funds.” – Brett Hadley, Cyclist.
The group has raised almost $100,000, which covers the cost of more than 700 nights of accommodation at Ronald McDonald House.
