QLD GOVT LAUNCHES SPECIALIST CARE UNIT FOR NORTHERN NSW RESIDENTS

The Queensland Government today launched a specialist care unit to help northern New South Wales residents cross the border for medical treatment.
The unit consists of doctors, paramedics, nurses and social workers.
“We want to make sure if people in Northern New South Wales need to get to those specialist appointments we have a special dedicated unit that will be there for them,” Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
Last week, 900 New South Wales residents received treatment in Queensland hospitals.
