ALLEGED KILLER TO REMAIN BEHIND BARS

A man accused of bashing another man to death with a hammer will remain in custody after a brief appearance via video link in Moree Local Court today.

Patrick Allen Boon faces a charge of causing wounding and grievous bodily harm with intent to murder, after an altercation at Wee Waa last June.

The victim died in hospital after the assault.

Boon will return to court next month.
