MAN CHARGED WITH ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTING A WOMAN AT SHOPPING CENTRE
A man will face court today over an alleged unprovoked assault in the Hunter.
Just after 8.30am yesterday, a 31-year-old woman was at Charlestown Square when a man she didn’t know allegedly pulled her hair, until she fell to the ground.
The 39-year-old allegedly yelled at her, before running away.
Later that morning, police attended a motel on the Pacific Highway and arrested the man.
He was taken to Belmont Police Station, where he was charged with common assault and affray.
The man will face Belmont Local Court today.
