The heatwave is set to peak tomorrow with the scorching hot low 40 degree temperatures set to sweep back in across the Hunter and Central Coast. Temperatures will also soar back into the mid 30s along the northern NSW and SE QLD coasts. Over the weekend rain and cooler temperatures will make for a cooler start to the new week.
