LIQUOR LICENSING TRIAL TO SEE NEWCASTLE LOCKOUT LAWS RELAXED FROM OCTOBER

More than a decade after Newcastle became home to the state’s first lockout laws, change is on the horizon.

The city council has now backed a trial that will see the restrictions relaxed for certain bars and restaurants, but there are already calls for it to be independently reviewed.
