It’s been years in the making, but today the state government injected $28-million into the construction of Tamworth’s Intermodal rail hub.
Building company, Qube Logistics says once complete it will help businesses transport grain, meat and equipment for renewable energy projects.
“We all know and industry knows that if you can move freight on rail, one it’s more efficient, more productive and if you link the rail to Intermodals and link back to Sydney and Newcastle, well then we’re giving our producers a real opportunity.”
It’s due to be complete by September next year.
