SHIP DETAINED IN NEWCASTLE BANNED FROM AUSTRALIAN PORTS

The bulk carrier Unison Jasper has been banned from entering Australian ports for six months, for underpaying its Burmese crew.

The Hong Kong registered ship was detained in Newcastle in July for breaching the pay conditions.

It’s the fifth vessel banned from our ports by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority in the past year.
